{LLDStyle} 10 Practical Shoes to Wear This NYFW

With New York Fashion Week just beginning, I thought it only appropriate to focus today's post on a MAJOR issue; women who wear ridiculous shoes in the snow, sleet and slush! Keep reading to find out why I can't stand that and my suggestions on making it through this weather in style!

NYFW S/S 2012: Prabal Gurung

The man known for dressing the First Lady goes playful & somewhat naught with this S/S 2012 collection.

PFW: Louis Vuitton

I always play the dinner game with some of my fashionista friends; you know "Who would you invite to dinner if you could only invite 5 people" game? Although I have to admit I always change the rules.. people can be living, deceased, you can have a dinner party of 5 and then the next time we play its a banquet of 50! In any event, every time I play; the amazing and always impressive Marc Jacobs makes it on my list (isn't he lucky LOL). I imagine how I would discuss his collections, his eye for evolution in the industry, his ability to shock & awe, his attention to detail and of course- well, just how fun he seems! Since I am not Charlie Sheen crazy and know my concept of this fab & glam dinner is just a dream, I can only do what I do best and spread the fabulousness that is Mr. Jacobs with my review of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 RTW collection...

Warning: This collection may have you drinking wine and lacing up your over the knee boots...

NYFW: Alice + Olivia

Dear Stacey Bendet, Please consider this my personal thank you for your Fall 2011 RTW collection. Sparkle, shine, ladylike touches with a splash of retro inspiration had me mesmerized. Each look grabbed my attention in a different way and, while I really do find something fabulous in everything, it is rare that I love an entire collection. The looks were well thought out, with a certain ladylike ease & classic sophistication. Thank you for understanding what us girlie girls need this season... & for making it wearable. Shine on Bendet... Shine On.. Lots of Lime! So that is that limettes... check out my favorite picks from the Fall RTW collection and let me know if you agree. I am sure you will be saving a few images on your desktop for your shopping lists... Oh my hippie chic ... lace, shine, fur, leather... the contrasts are superb & the feel is elegant! Everyone deserves a princess moment.. right?? You all know how I feel about sequins, sparkle & shine. This ...

It was a frigid day in NYC, the fabulous & glamorous had gathered together on the UWS @ the Standard Hotel in NYC and watched a hockey scrimmage in the hockey rink. But this wasn't any scrimmage, after all- how often do people where Furs and Louboutin's to view hockey? This was the beginning of the NUMBER:lab show which proved to be a clean, sporty and sexy collection. That's right, you read correctly- a hockey scrimmage, (where even your fiercest fur couldn't keep you warm) & then upstairs we went to view the collection..... Your Welcome.. I mean... Designer Luis Fernandez obviously knew what he was doing with this Fall 2011 collection. He had a theme, a desire to produce wearable product for stylish men and he delivered. The collection had a sporty and youthful feel with that "athlete/bad boy" edge to it. Fernandez designs for the gentleman who wants to spend the day shredding at Vail and then take his lady to a 5 star restaraunt. Their is an air of sophistication to the sporty loo ...

NYFW: BCBG Max Azria

Hey Limettes! NYFW kicked off a few days ago & while I would have loved to been posting daily, we were still working out the last few updates to LLD 2.0. With that said, thank you for your patience & let the review party begin... BCBG MAX AZRIA I had mixed feelings about the collection this year. With a common theme of minimalist looks centered around what seemed to be an ivory bodysuit, I didn't "ooh & aah" the way I usually do. I did, however, find some retro-inspired looks that not only are my picks of the collection but also seem to be the most wearable. What do you think??? Chiffon, layering, low-slung belts & knee high boots... Cognac boots, muted tones, fierce outerwear and fluidity in the looks... A nod to the seventies... color-blocking is back & not just @ BCBG.. keep an eye out for the theme across the board. I personally love the look on the left.. sheer fabrics, skinny belt, structured boot & colorblocking... A+ What did you think of ...
