Hey Limette's!
Serena has an outburst on the court, Kanye goes bananas and messes up Taylor's speech...
It seems to us that the only thing that is going off without a hitch right now is NYC's Fashion Week!
Here is what we had to say about Carolina Herrera & Marc Jacobs RTW Spring 2010 Collections.
Carolina Herrera: Carolina Herrera's eveningwear, and her ladylike persona, are no doubt the two things we think of when we hear the Herrera name. But her Spring 2010 collection had us seeing something different, which we loved. Drawing her inspiration from woven Japanese baskets and translating that Latin sophistication into her pieces, she sent everything from shorts with cropped jackets to sexy strapless gowns down the runway. Playing with details & textures, she proved she is the master at both formal and daywear. Of course, the collection wasn't lacking in formals; our favorite piece was the tea-length, sexy ivory raffia dress which embodied the spirit of Herrera, classic and sophisticated. Neutrals, bold colors, chiffons and jacquard; Caroline Herrera had a show that we could only describe as a sophisticated success.
Here are the Herrera looks we are dying for:

Marc Jacobs: Theatrical makeup, striking hair, and flats? What other fashion genius could we be referring to? Marc Jacobs is always one to put on a jaw dropping, over the top show and this year's didn't shy from that. Although the decor was simple & stark, the collection itself was where the art was. Sheer spangled stockings, bodysuits, intimates as, well, not so intimates, ruffled minis and decorated dresses; Jacobs sent out each model as walking art. Not entirely wearable was his show, but we know when it comes to a mastermind like Marc Jacobs, its about the experience and the collection; one never without the other. Strong tailoring, sharp cuts and a color palette that stayed mostly neutral adding in grays, blues, greens & an occasional red, Jacobs showed the world that when you are as fashion forward as he, you can pull your inspiration from well, anywhere really and still impress. Utilitarian jackets, lavishly decorated dresses and ruffled frocks were among the wearable pieces. Perhaps his story, or lack of was not understood or appreciated by some, but Little Lime Dress knows an icon when we see one!
The ones that won our heart:

Lots of Lime,
