I've said it before and I'll say it again, plus size doesn't mean wearing something that resembles a potato sack! There are tons of fashionable looks for full figured women out there, whether you are comfortable in a skirt, jeans or a dress! Since I have been rocking the sequin trend for the past few weeks, this New Years Eve I decided to change things up a bit and am (surprisingly enough) not doing sequins for the holiday.
Here is how I will be bidding farewell to 2009....
Instead I chose a fitted colorblock dress in cobalt blue & black. This dress has a fitted bandage skirt that, despite its descriptive words of 'fitted' & 'spandex' is quite flattering. This dress is easy and comfortable and creates a sleek silhouette with a ton of style. For my own comfort and to ensure everything is smooth and bulk-free I am wearing my miracle undergarment ; Spanx hide & sleek high rise panty.
This dress is a statement piece that will turn heads, so I chose to pair it with black ankle booties. These booties are trendy, comfortable and versatile enough to wear with jeans on the weekends. For accessories, I went all sparkle & shine with a chain & rhinestone layered necklace, rhinestone hoop earrings & a black glitter clutch. These accessories will pick up the color in the dress and add that sparkle & shine that I love.

Not only is this look fashion-forward but it is also sophisticated & sexy, all the things I look for in an outfit for a big night out.
