Hey Limette's!
With an award ceremony every weekend, it is hard to decide what show to review! The Grammy's are always a favorite of mine because they are eclectic and adventurous when it comes to fashion and performances. While we see the occasional ball gown, most of the music royalty spend their time pushing the envelope all the way down the red carpet! This year's best dressed stayed feminine and ladylike with not many surprises aside from the ever-impressive and show stopping Lady Gaga.
Here are my picks for the best & worst dressed from the 2010 Grammy Awards .....
While I am not googling how to find the closest ready-to-wear replica of this piece of art, I was beyond impressed with the head-turning, show-stopping custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive collection gown made exclusively for Lady Gaga. Gaga is forever keeping us talking/tweeting and blogging about her avant garde way of dressing and this award show was no different. Giorgio Armani said,“I am delighted to be creating these outfits on such an important night for her, and I wish her the best of luck.” Now that is chic!
Lea Michele, of Glee, wowed us in a ruched one shoulder gown designed by Romona Keveza. Lea, we at Little Lime Dress think you should go short for future award shows, your gams are glamorous!
Pink looked perfetly poised and feminine in a silver Tony Ward haute couture gown and Neil Lane diamond jewelry. Her husband, Carey Hart, was looking dapper on her arm, making them a head turning couple of the red carpet.
New mom, Jennifer Hudson, looked chic & sexy in a Victoria Beckham number that hugged her curves and gave all the attention to her glowing face!
While I would have preferred for the fabulous Beyonce to walk the red carpet in her head-turning sequined accpetance speech mini-dress, this champagne colored, detailed, body-hugging Stephane Rolland gown was absolutely gorgeous. Sasha Fierce was taking the grammy's before the show even started, grabbing 4 before 8pm EST!
Shying away from her girlier, more dainty options, Miss Taylor swift walked the runway In a topaz blue boomerang hand-embroidered sheath by Kaufmanfranco, with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes. This country diva sparkled and shined on the red carpet. Looks like her glamorous look paid off in the end, she nabbed the coveted album of the year award!
Little Lime Dress Voted Rihanna as Best Dressed
I let out a loud "OMG" when this sexy rap-rock diva stepped out of her limo and onto the red carpet in this head-turning Elie Saab gown. This white crepe and chiffon gown spoke for itself with it's high neck, open back and applique, stone and feather detailing at the bodice. The fashion icon paired her gown with Neil Lane jewelry and a large dose of confidence, making her LLD's pick for best dressed diva for the 2010 Grammy Awards!
Lots of Lime,
