Hey Limette's!
The sun was shining, the air was brisk and the fiercely fashionable were out & about under the tents for day five of NYC's Fashion Week. The vibe was fresh & the shows were, yet again, beyond impressive. "I wanted everything to feel glamorous and positive," Carlos Miele said backstage about his color-blocked purple, red, and fuchsia charmeuse dress, one of the many impressive looks he sent traipsing down the runway at the morning show. The lights went up & the brazilian-inspired music was blasting as Carlos Miele sent down one beautiful piece after the next; and while he is notorious for his flirty festive frocks, the focus was also on swingy coats, glamorous fur and tailored trousers. The Carlos Miele show was a true success and had us at LLD searching for reasons to get the whole collection!

Sportswear, colorful furs; and short, flirty party dresses that were the focus of Zac Posen's upbeat Fall 2010 collection. Sportswear & pantsuits had an old school flair and were accompanied by impressive furs, strong shouldered blazers and cropped jackets. His evening pieces livened up the runway with short, swingy cocktail dresses in pinks and purples. Posen was nothing but feminine & elegant.
Tracy Reese said "I think about how she can look great while trends are changing so quickly." She could not have been more accurate regarding her Fall 2010 collection. Every look she sent down the runway was wearable; layering chunky cardigans, big cozy scarves and leggings and stirrup pants all while working with textures and embroidery. Short, flirty dresses in every variation with textured tights made us want fall all over again! While it wasn't the most inventive and jaw dropping show, we sure are making room in our closets for her pieces.
Stay tuned into the Juicer for all the latest style & fashion news from the tents!
