Hey Limette's!
Style never sleeps. Here are some more fabulous fashions directly from the London Fashion Week Runways...
Roksanda Ilincic’s line was full of tons of textures ranging from silks, to furs, to geometrical draping. Her most used colors were black, magenta, cobalt blue, and peach. Models’ voluminous hairstyles mirrored the full-bodied garments and balanced out the more neutral, body-conscious pieces. Ilincic beautifully mixed sheer fabrics with furs, making it possible for every fashionista to mix and match her favorite pieces and still be in style. Overall, the look was a combination between luxury and blended textures. Little Lime Dress approves!
Vivienne Westwood Red Label The mother of punk rock keeps with her aesthetic in her Fall 2010 show. Heaps and heaps of patterned fabric layered on top of different patterns and different fabric. Her pieces are not 100 percent body conscious, but they compliment the uniqueness of the customer’s style. Westwood mixes chunky knits with capes and patterned tights and menswear-inspired styles. In a world where everyone wants to be “fashionable” Westwood stands out.
Leather, lace, and floral? Not exactly a combination you hear on a daily basis. For Christopher Kane, however, his Fall line was all about those three elements. Kane sent looks down the runway of embroidered leather pieced together with lace in monotonous tones to create a beautiful silhouette and superb construction to flatter the figure. The floral embroidery brought a cheery element to the otherwise all black collection (but we’re not saying there’s anything wrong with black!). The lace and leather combo made for the perfect “hard and soft” element in the show. Superbly done, Christopher!
The Juicer will keep squeezing the lime out of the LFW runways, so be sure to check back in!
